    I am most definitely not a cook, LOL! I go the label on the packet from the butcher, LOL! I don't even know what Polenta is, let alone how to cook it or risotto?

    I think I need someone to teach me how to cook - I can only do steak and vegies and badly at it too.

    slow cookers are the best!

    I made osso bucco last night in the slow cooker and I just browned the meat first, then threw in all the vegies we had in the fridge (chopped up in pieces) put in tinned tomatos and some stock and let it cook for 6 hours. So so easy. I served it with rice. With only 4 pieces of osso bucco I fed 5 adults and put another 5 serves in the freezer... how is that for saving money
