    Any ideas..right hip/pelvis pain??

Since i was 14weeks i've been experiencing pain in my right hip/pelvis area, it sometimes goes across my lower back and on my left hip/pelvis but most of the time it's just my right hip/pelvis.
I've spoken to a MW twice (same MW) the first time she assumed/thought it was caused by a UTI, but i didnt have any of the symptoms but did a follow up urine test just to be sure and everything came back ok. I seen her for the 2nd time this morning and told her the pain was still there and she basically told me there's nothing she can do, now i wasnt expecting a miracle but a better understanding of what's causing the pain would have been nice and also some ideas on how to manage the pain.

The MW wasnt very helpful and needless to say i'm none the wiser.

I never experienced this pain with my DD, i've spoken to a few people who have said it sounds like SPD but i honestly have no idea.

Any ideas on what this pain is or caused by?

(i hope that all made sense)

Is the hip pain at the back? If it is, it sounds similar to what I have had from 9 weeks. When it started I let it go for a while but when it didn't get any better I saw a physio. She diagnosed sacro-iliac joint dysfunction (SIJD). This joint is the one at the back that attaches/stabilises the pelvis to the spine and with relaxin hormones the ligaments loosen, therefore allowing it to move more than it should.

Mine started on the left and before treatment, it was spreading to my right hip and across my lower back. It's also effected my front left groin side.

Perhaps see if you can find a physio who specialises in womens health, although mine doesn't and has been a great help for me.

What Cecelia said can never remember what it was called! My joint was out of alignment and it couldn't be manipulated back during the pregnancy but my ob sent me to a physio who specialsed in pregnancy. I went from not being able to walk very well without pain to being ok most of the time. The major symptom I had as well as the pain is that I couldn't walk without limping.

thanks MG i try to rest but with housework and a 2yr old it's not always easy, i have a wheat bag so that will come in handy.

CeCe: Just to clarify the pain is on the outside of my right side and goes from front to back of back pelvis area.
