Oh how sucky,my aunty was in bed rest in the hospital from 13-14 weeks im thinking maybe some magazines like a new one every week to keep her upto date on the latest gossip or maybe a photo album or some scrapbooking paper and stuff so she can get her albums in order
Thanks for all your suggestions ladies! DH and I went over Saturday night along with some others and we had a bit of a party - I think it provided some much needed excitement
We've arranged to go over there for dinner once a week, and I'll cook so her DH doesn't have to, and we won't keep telling her to go to bed. I think thats the biggest thing at the moment, she just feels so out of control. Everytime she gets up sometimes tells her off, she has to lay there and listen to other people playing with her kids - she's getting very down. Luckily I'm off work at the moment, so I'll spend as much time as possible with her - but I don't want her to get sick of me either
Sounds like you have been doing a great deal for her ,sunflowa
I was only bedridden for 3 weeks but I found just having company was the most important thing. And people just having regular old conversations with me also helped.
Is she into arts or crafts at all? I had 3 cross stitch things on the go, I hadn't done much before that so it was great learning something new and boy can the day go quickly when your working on something like that.
You do get bored with magazines and books and TV so for me good conversation was the best thing.
