I am doing work experience at the gym at the moment and one of the ladies I was shadowing this afternoon was pregnant (10 weeks). We were just chatting about general stuff and she said that she was thinking of moving back to her home town to be closer to her parents but she said they might end up sending her back to Brissy.
When I asked why she said because her pregnancy was considered "high risk" because of the diabetes, the town where she was from won't take her so they would send her back to Brissy at 36 weeks and induce her or give her a Caesar! Is that right??
I told her she should get as much information as possible and I told her about Bellybelly. Then she said even if she stayed in Brissy they still might induce her or give her a Caesae at 36 weeks.
I was really shoked. I didn't know (and had no reason to know) that they would do that because of diabetes. Why is that? She has Type 1 diabetes btw.
