I often have dry, scaly patches on my legs but otherwise I'm generally eczema-free. Except during this pregnancy, it seems.
I have it all over my hands, and now on my feet. I think it is spreading to my ankles.
Can anyone give me some hints as to how I can relieve the itching safely? My Dr has given me a corticosteroid cream but if it is working, it is very slow in doing so! I have a couple of days of using the cream before we have to take a couple of weeks break from it.
I'm trying to remember to moisturise (esp my hands) as often as I can - at least a couple of times a day. Though this often makes the itching worse as it makes the surface warmer and it is more itchy when warm.
I am really not getting much sleep because the itching is dreadful. What do you use to relieve your eczema?
Hi Snacks, I find using a ph balanced non perfumed body wash such as ego qv or dermaveen are good as well as making sure your moisturiser is also ph balanced and non pfmd.(another new product that has been getting good results is "Invisible glove"-avail in pharmacy) also try to drink lots of water! apparently there are some antihistamines that are safe in preg but you would need to consult your doc on that. good luck
