Anyone????
New issue lol.
Just got back from seeing my ob. She seemed fairly happy with bubs growth (although small) as its head is big even if the rest isn't.
Our new 'issue' is that apparently the artery Doppler reading was abnormally high. My ob said not to worry and its better than it being low, but then in the next breath booked me in for weekly Doppler readings....
So, my question is, has anyone here experienced this and, if so, what did it mean for you and bubs?
Anyone????
No idea Chody but hope they are just being cautious. Good luck and not much longer til you meet your little one![]()
Sorry, I haven't had that experience. It's hard when they say 'don't worry' but we'll keep a close eye on it!
I'm guessing you didn't have this with DD?
I hope you live close to the obs, otherwise weekly appts is going to be a bit annoying. I had to drive over an hr to Melb and the last few weeks were hard work.
Hopefully everything is ok with bubs.
Thanks for the good wishes. Luckily my hospital is only 10-15 mins away. Had my first scan today and the sonographer seemed to think levels were at the higher end of normal today. That's much better than abnormally high I figure!
Anything in the normal range sounds goodone of the few times in life we like everything to be normal hey?!
Were they talking about the SD ratio?
That's what happened with DD's pregnancy. The SD ratio was elevated. It doubled in a week when it should have gone down from the previous week. It was 3.something at 32 weeks and 6.something at 33
That might be it - mine was 4.1 at 32 weeks. I'm not sure what it was today..... When I tried looking it up it was something that was supposed to be going down so it could be the same thing. Did this effect your pregnancy or DD in any way?
Hello!
I just found out that I am in the same boat. I went to my specialist and my S/D was 4.0 I am 30 weeks and 3 days. I tried to google what this means, but couldn't find anything. Can you tell me what your outcome was? How did the pregnancy go?
Thank you so much for any information you can provide!
Hi! I'm sorry you are going through this. Basically I had scans every week and the blood flow into the cord was getting more and more restricted. In the end (due to numerous issues) we delivered at 36+1 (about 3 weeks from when this started). Bubs was only 1.84kg but was fine otherwise.
Good luck!
