If you can't get any cream straight away, ice helps a little. I have been know to get an ice cube and "apply" it for as long as possible(basically get in some weird position and hold it on there until it feels a bit numb), yes it's not elegant at all, but gives a little relief for a little while.

it's haemorriods but probably from the pressure on your lower half now you've got a bigger bub in there.

I got them around the same time when pregnant with DS, they got BAD after birth but Arcadia is right, my midwife laughed when i mentioned it and told me this too.... It goes away, eventually use cream to help, but the pain/ lumps sound like a vein clot....not bad just painful..... No pushing and a soft pillow might help

That article I posted a link to on the BB website has skin tags as one of the symptoms. Not all roids are painful so I would be guessing it was probably just a small one that hasn't bothered you until recently and not really a skin tag at all.
I was thinking the same thing.

Go to the GP, it sounds like an abscess...

Which can cause problems if it isn't treated. So go to the GP and get it checked out properly before you go smothering it with roid creams etc.

Skin tags also get worse when your pg, if they're anywhere that might rub against something they can become very sore, red and even bleed. Lots of peeps have them around the anus You may even have roids behind the tag. Worth asking your OB/MW about, as some don't get smaller after you give birth and may need to be removed.

I didn't find it funny until you wrote the df called it a bum clit! I burst out laughing then!

I'd go to the go to get it checked, not fun but best to be safe. As someone said it could be an absces(sp?) .

Good luck Hun. Hope that pain goes soon. Xx

Well, doc said it looks like roids. Gave me a prefer safe cream, and said to come back if it gets worse, but luckily he doesn't think it's an abcess. But the cream...uhhh. I have to apply it topically...and also up the bum Oh, goodbye dignity, pregnancy has moved in instead! Might see if DF will do it...

I would be more concerned that they are popping into what she thinks is a skin tag that she has had all her life. hemoroids are one thing but I would be chatting to your Ob/GP or middy about it first.
It's also possible it's a boil. I have a skin tag at my lower butt cheek right near the crack and it got inflamed a while back. Because that is such a sensitive area I suggest getting it checked hun

lol PZ... our poor DH's and the things we sometimes ask them to do huh... I think that they'd not ever ask us to do the same ... I only applied mine topically... I didn't even read any other bit lol.... I used to pop it on cotton bud or cotton ball so I didn't get it on my fingers lol. Hope it does the trick and helps you

Your DH sounds pretty awesome! Glad it's just roids not anything more sinister. But I feel your pain!!!! I used to bring the roid cream out and try to get DS1(when he was about 15yrs old) to put it on for me (JOKING OF COURSE!) but just stirring him and letting him know he was the one that did it to me he did see the funny side BTW.
Hope you get some relief soon

Oh PZ i feel your pain! i had roids with both my pregnancies but mine where so bad (both times) that the creams did nothing (they had become thrombosed) so i had to have them surgically removed - i would rather go thru childbirth than have that done again!

what cream are you using, it is proctosedyl?
