i had gastro while pg and ended up going to see my ob. she checked to see if i was dehydrated and was going to put me on a drip.
Lucky me has been thrown in the deep end and now have what I think is, gastro bug. I've been drinking Hydralyte as much as I can, but its not staying down. Had a piece of dry toast before (for the record, multigrain bread isn't the best coming back up).
Is there anything else I should or could be doing?
Will this be harming my baby at all?
Stomach cramps come and go, the pharmacist said cramps are because salt levels are low and while pregnant, can't take much more then Panadol![]()

I think if you are worried called ob or mid. They might pop you on a drip. Most important thing is to stay hydrated. Which is hard when nothing stays in. I have been on a drip due to bad ms and I felt much better knowing that bubs was getting some hydration![]()

How far along are you? I had gastro at about 34 weeks. Make sure to stay super hydrated and watch out for signs of premature labour, as gastro can aggravate things and kick off contractions.
I had gastro 5x when preg with DD. you may end up on an IV if you become really dehydrated.
Hope you get better soon
I started having regular contractions on my first bout of gastro (I got it again two weeks later) and thought I would go into labour. Thankfully it eased off but you really need to keep hydrated and go to hospital if you can't. Hope you get well soon, nothing worse than throwing up with a big belly.
