    GD Test diet

    Hi,
I have to have the second GD test next week. Thing is I lost the diet sheet of what Im meant to eat for the three days before. Im sure it won't be much different from what I've been eating anyway, but wondered if anyone could give me an idea.
Also just wondering if anlyone knows what their reading was at the first test (the 50gram). Mine was 9.6 I think (I had had a mini christmas pudding before hand as I was about to faint and it's all I had in the car....
I have had the first test be high each time so far, but the second one is usually ok. Fingers crossed.
    Thanks xo

Im not sure what my reading was with DS - i only had the first test though so not high. The Christmas puding would have sent your level through the roof. Can you ring and get them to fax the instructions or tell you over the phone?

With this bub my test came back 9.4 and i had eaten NOTHING since 10pm the night before....so i had the 2nd test but never had to follow a diet, just fast for 12 hours before (which id done for the first test even though you were not ment too...lol) and when they first tested the reading was 4.6

I know with DD1 i had to have a high carb diet 3 days before the test

It is basically just a high carb diet - I've done three so far, and each time I found it completely impossible to eat the amount off food listed in the instructions. The last one I did I was away from home for the three days of carb-bingeing, so found following the exact amounts/foods listed impossible, so would just eat as much carbohydrate as I could. Results were fine each time.
