Unhappy hayfever @ 33 weeks preg

hey... I have been feelin real ordinary since this swealtering hot weather has ended recently and the mornings and night air have changed. I get real chronic hayfever, and the change of season is really affecting me. I have spent the past 2 days on the couch really sick, I can only take panadol which doesnt work, I dont think Im allowed anti-histamines. Does anyone have any suggestions on anything safe to take or anything that would releive the pain in my head and my stuffy nose, and watery eyes???

I also think I might of put my neck out too its real sore, I cant twist my neck been told im not allowed to see a chiroparactor as well, I fell down stairs when I was around 25 weeks pregnant and my hip has been sore and cracking ever since and its real bad today too... sheesh Im in a bad way... Oh and on top of that bubby has been gettin his little foot up under my ribs all last night now today my chest feels like its all bruised heeeelp! any suggestions?

    greatly appreciated thanks!

oh danielle, you poor poor thing!

sounds like you are having a really rough time.

my nly suggestion would be to maybe burn some eucalyptus and lime oils - it might help claer the air and make you feel a little refreshed.

I feel so sorry for you!

Sounds like you're having a rough time you poor thing. In regards to your hayfever, I was told I was allowed to take Avil which are drowsy ones though I would go to your chemist and ask the Pharmacist and see what they can suggest. I totally sympathise with you, you poor thing as I have been struck with it non-stop for the past week! I hope you're feeling better soon.

    Hey there
    You poor thing!
It is worth checking with your GP what you can take, I had a similar problem and seem to recall being able to take Polaramine and a nasal spray called Rhinocourt. In the end I decided not to take anything like that so I cant remember.
I definitely know those drugs are ok for breastfeeding.
As an alternative have you tried garlic & horseradish tablets? I took those and found they helped a treat. You could also use Fess nasal spray to help ease congestion (its merely saline).
    Good luck
    Belinda.

I'm sorry to hear about your hayfever.
I've only recently got it really bad too. It's the worst I've had in my life I think.
I don't really know what I can/can't take, so I'm going to be asking my OB this week. Hope something can help.

It's so awful, and I hope you feel better.
