maybe try a heat pack? maybe youve pulled a muscle... maybe tell your dr at your next apt
sorry, Im not much help! hope it feels better soon
So thinking I was super mum I went shopping during the week and brought the shopping home by myself. Instead of being sensible and carrying only one heavy bag of shopping I carried two. When I was doing this I felt a bit of discomfort in the front of my pelvis and my belly.
Well... Since then I have had a burning/stinging sensation all around my belly button extending down to the front of my pelvis. This comes and goes but it always feels tender and I now don't like anyone touching my belly as it is so sore. Is it possible I have damaged my abs? Is there any treatments that will help with the pain? Panadol does almost nothing
Bubs is still really active and I feel her a lot of the time particularly when resting. Pretty much the only time my belly doesn't ache now is when I am lying down.
Has anyone else heard of or had this happen to them? Thanks for any help![]()

sounds like a pulled muscle! Just be really careful what you do for the next few days and I second using the heat pack.

ok, heatpack coming out with me today - too many mothers day things to go to. DD also helped me into the shower, DH helped me out and DD helped me dress - ah, being dependent on others is so much fun!
Could it be a hernia? Sounds like the way my brother described his hernias.
Well, I spoke to my midwife this afternoon who told me to go into hospital. They monitored bubs - which took ages as she didn't like the monitor and kept moving away from it! But eventually they got a good trace and she is fine. They checked me out and said I have severly strained my muscles but not torn them or given myself a hernia - thank goodness! They have given me some stronger painkillers, panadol was doing nothing, and told me to rest tomorrow. As I finish work at the end of the week it means I have only 4 days left of work
Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions - most appreciated![]()
Yay! A day off work. I hope the rest helps your belly to feel better. Do you think you will be going to Aqua class tomorrow night or you gunna give that a miss?
I am only working three days a week, I finish up this week too. Woooohoooooo! I cant wait. And I have an ultrasound on Thursday so I have to leave at 1pm instead of 4:30pm. LOL!
Speak to you soon and make sure you give that belly plenty of rest today.
oh yes.. i do that super mum thing every now and then as well... oops!
enjoy your day off!!
Probably give aqua a miss, but will be there next week. Ah finishing work - thought I wouldn't want to by this stage but I so just want to rest!
With DH not home I want to go do the washing, sweep the floors, water the garden, do things in the baby room etc but if iI did DH will kill me! Oh well, going to have to watch movies... But on such a beautiful day a walk would be great but that is on the not-to-do list as well.![]()
You won't do that again - will you?
no - I've been very good this week. Last week of work so I'm careful not to do too much in the classroom and just resting when I get home. But looking forward to having time to do things like yoga next week - Yay!
