I also want steroid injections as soon as possible. Not sure if they will give them to me before 23wks though??
No they don't give them before 24 weeks generally...sometimes they may give them earlier.
They don't give them befoer 23 weeks because there is little benefit, the lungs do not produce surfactant until 23-24 weeks and the steroids help to produce more surfactant.
I had my steroids with DD3 at 24 weeks with DD3 and at 23+6 weeks when I had my stitch with DS4...thank goodness.
