scaried i may have another missed miscarrage

Hi. i'm 9 weeks pregnant....and everythings been great,had un u/s on the 6/2...and little bub was doing great!
But last night when i got home from work i noticed some light brown muccus coming out... which only lasted until about 10pm..i've only been getting your usual whitish discharge...i rang my Gyno and she said everything shd be ok...but she's booked me in 4 a u/s this thursday.
i have not had sexual intercourse for a few wks as i had a missed miscarrage last sep and me and partner have decided to stop until atleast 3 months
I was wondering if any1 else has experienced this and if its at all common?
i've had no cramping or pain but i have noticed i'm having trouble with bowel motions and whn i do have 1 there is an increase of the light brown muccus!(more or lease when i push).
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATFUL

Hi,

I had a similar discharge with one of mine, but it was after we DTD.

It didnt last for long though and she was born healthy.

I hope the scan goes well on thursday for you.

i personally dont think it is anything to worry about at all. But saying that i am not a doctor. As far as i know, you should only be concerned if the blood is bright red.

I had a similar thing at 10w and have had it on and off throughout the pregnancy. It's very common my Ob tells me and says only to worry when it's heavy, accompanied by cramping . Try to relax until the u/s.

Yep, I had the same thing at 9 wks this time. Was petrified because I'd just had a m/c at 8 wks. But everything was fine

Since you mention it increases with bowel movement i would guess that it's old blood from the bowel movt. I sometimes get blood with a bowel mvt but it's from "back there". In particular if i haven't been able to go for a while. I have noticed that i am quite swollen down there so it makes sense i'd be a bit more supseptible to a bleed with all the extra blood flow.

I had a missed m/c in 06, my brown discharge stayed fairly light for several days until dh & i dtd and it finally turned red. I am guessing that your probably taking things easy (which is what i was told to do) but i must admit i was kinda glad when it turned red, not because it was a m/c cause that made me very sad but because the waiting around for something to happen was hearbreaking. I intially felt guilty about dtd but when i found out that i'd m/c 5wks earlier i realised that nothing would have changed the outcome of that preg.

I hope everything turns out on thurs and the wait isn't too bad.

and crossing my fingers that everything will be fine for you.

Like you, I'd had a missed m/c at about 10.5 weeks. With the following pregnancy I had about 4 weeks of spotting (anything from brown through to pink & red) and then a BIG BRIGHT RED BLEED. I was petrified, assuming the worst. And guess what?? Bubba was absolutely fine! I had about a gazillion scans as I'm sure you would understand, and the baby was always fine. We figured (in retrospect) that he was just a drama queen! So it just goes to show that bleeding or spotting doesn't necessarily mean that things won't work out. It's always worth checking things out for peace of mind, oh and I'm with you on the bowel motions too - very common in pregnancy. The fact you've got no pain is a great sign too (given the niggles & twinges that can occur in early PG!). So I'm sending you the bestest of vibes for the u/s, hang in there.

Oh and if you're stressing about stressing... I had a friend who STRESSED through her PG (due to having previous m/c's) and her bubba was absolutely fine. So don't beat yourself up, do what you need to in order to cope with the stress... and give yourself a GREAT BIG HUG!

Thank U guys so Much for your replys.....it fully stopped after lunch yesterday and havent had any thing since...so yeah like you guys said hang in there coz signs like this don't always mean the worst! hanging to have the u/s now! thanks for your positive vibes...

hey every1....well i'm over the moon coz as u guys said its probably nothing to worry about!! and it wasn't buby is still on track and healthy...the brown spotting was from old blood from implantation! and these's still alittle under the baby about 1cm.which my Ob said was very common.
so thanks again for all the replyies couldnt have stayed positive if it wasn't for u guys...fingers crossed things still go well...i'm still taking it easy for the next few weeks.....or the whole term hehehe!
