Where is your lesion hun? You can get a spray on dressing from the chemist (or your doc should be able to prescribe it). It forms a film over the lesion and stops the air getting to it - which is what causes the pain. But that's only good if its on an area where you can spray IYKWIM?
The only real issue with the panadiene is that the codiene might clog you up a bit.
