Also The iron in dark green leafy veg is disipated and used by the body faster as it's easier to digest. If you do eat a lot of green leafy veg try having some say with lunch and dinner. You can sprinkle it on yoghurt for brekky, put it in a smoothie etc and it's a great source of protein which is important for cell renewel and repair. If you're sick and protein levels are inadequate then it might take longer to get the cold out of your system.
