I tried almost EVERYTHING and nothing worked so i just accepted going once a week, the pain was unbearable at times. Then at 39 weeks an OB gave me a home enema (microlax) and movicol to do/take as he thought me being so blocked up was why i wasn't progressing. I won't lie the enema was not fun and was so awkward to do but it worked a treat and the movicol caused belly pains but it softened everything and got it moving.
I usually love kiwi, I might see if I can still eat it. Microlax seems popular. I did manage a small movement today and feel a little better, hopefully there's more to come. I'm waiting for the evil haemorrhoid to start objecting too, it's been pretty well behaved so far
Willow, I will have to put my vote in for Microlax too.. I had horrendous constipation with my first child and tried all the juices and grains etc but really the only thing that helped me go was the Microlax.. It works by drawing water into the bowel to soften what is there and make that move.. Good luck, constipation is never a pleasant side effect..
