My cousin suffers terribly with Chrons, she's hospitalised at least twice a year. She was able to give birth without a problem. She did have an epidural though.

My cousin also said that her Chrons was the best it had ever been while she was pregnant.

    Best of luck to you.

    I don't have Crohns but i do have U/C.
I've had 2 natural drug free births & both times my colitis has been great after the birth.
I do start to get the cramping & tummy pains about 7wks after the birth tho.

    GL with your birth

    Hi,

I don't have Crohns but reading your question made me think about my problems with my bowel after CS which may or may not be relevant to you.

I had an emergency CS and had heaps of pain and discomfort afterwards due to the fact that my intestines had been handled during the surgery. It was very uncomfortable for the 2 weeks after birth and has taken me almost a year to get back to completely normal. I have heard that this is very common (to have post cs issues due to handling the intestines).

Maybe this would be more of an issue for you? It is definitely something to ask your ob/midwife/GP...
