I am onto my 4th pregnancy in 12 months and after a bleed on Monday have been told by ultrasound that I have a large subchorionic hematoma in my uterus. I have just been told to rest and come back in a week. I have a 2.5 year old daughter already but this is my 4th pregnancy after suffering 3 miscarriages (mostly due to low progesterone which has been treated through a fert clinic). I am beside myself with worry and don't know what to do how to feel. I am a little over 6 weeks and got a heartbeat on the scan Monday and the bleeding did stop that day, now just a little tinge of brown discharge every now and then. Every cramp though I panic now as I now don't know whats normal and whats not. Has anyone had one of these and come out the other side successfully? I'm so worried.
Hi Nothing2lose - oh really thank you that gives me some hope at least. Was yours big do you remember? All I've read is the bigger they are the higher the risk of miscarrying and she said mine was large (I think she said 3cm).
And thanks Charlotte - I need all the squishy hugs I can get at the moment, I just can't win lately!
I had bleeds through both DDs' pregnancies - DD1 on and off from 7 to 12 weeks and DD2 at 8 weeks. I had a massive bleed with this pregnancy at 16.5 weeks that had bright red blood for three days with fist sized clots. I was in Hong Kong at the time and absolutely convinced there could be no way I wasn't miscarrying given both the amount of blood and size of the clots. I was put on bedrest after that bleed and like you've said, not easy when you have active little ones to look after, but you really need to take it as easy as you can - for your mental health if nothing else. Your DD will come to no harm at all if she has an overdose of tv and DVDs over the next few days while you keep your feet up. Do you have people around who can help you out? Let me know if I can do anything for you at all - happy to come and sit on your lounge room floor and entertain your daughter while you have a rest.
