    Trace perigestational bleed...

    Hi y'all.

Well I had another scan at 9 weeks. Bubs measured 9w1d and HR of 176bpm, and moving around a bit... So all is fine there.

But... My reason for the post is that on the ultrasound report it had "trace of perigestational bleed" which has me worried.

The reason I had an ultrasound at 9 weeks is that I have had spotting. Only very small amounts and only pinky/light brown with minimal cramps.

So what I'm asking is... Has anyone experienced perigestational bleeds? Did it increase the miscarriage risk? And did you end up having a healthy trouble free pregnancy?

Oh LD you must feel so unsettled by this. I admit I've not even heard of that. Take care!

It is so so common to have any type of spotting/bleeding in the first trimester of your pregnancy. The term used suggests to me that they'v just seen a bit of bleeding in your uterus which would explain the spotting. (? correct me if I'm wrong).
I had bleeding both pregnancies. My second pregnancy was gushing, running down both legs horror movie style type bleeding and DD was perfectly healthy.

I've found with ultrasounds that they have to list absolutely EVERYTHING they find even if it's no real risk. Thankfully, I never got ultrasound reports, they only ever went to the OB or GP who would from there inform me of any issues.

I hope that helps. Wishing you a stress free rest of your pregnancy

I think this is the same thing I have. She just referred to it as a bleed and said that 95% of the time the just go away. She scheduled me for a follow up u/s in 4 weeks to check it. I have been spotting for 8 weeks now so it may have been the old blood from the bleed coming out.
