We actually don't use the bactroban on the boil, but rather up the nostrils! My DD was having recurrent boils, we were drawing and treating them as you describe but they kept coming back. A local dr suggested putting the bactroban up her nostrils and it fixed it. Apparently the staph thrives there?

Sorry sunshine i don't know what kenacomb is. But google tells me it's an antibacterial and anti inflammatory AND an anti fungal, a real all rounder apparently?!
