I have a few brown spots on my face but I assume they're from the sun as I've had them for a while. The only skin side effects I get with clomid is breaking out with acne behind my ears and on my scalp.
Sorry I can't help.
I have just noticed that I can see brown 'patches' coming up on areas on my face, like I would imagine what age spots would look like. When I google 'Brown spots on face' it occasionally mentions 'estrogen' from the pill in combination with sunlight that could be a cause.
I'm not on the pill but am wondering if the clomid may be a factor? (took it last cycle) I have also had a bit more sun than usual lately. (not enough to burn, but definately more than normal.
Anyone had anything similar?

Thanks Belinda.
Wow, behind the ears is a different place to have a breakout!
I'm just hoping mine are from the clomid and sun and not just age spots!! Arghhhh, I'm so vain!!
hiya gals
it may be a 'melasma' which is staining or pigmentation due to high hormone levels. it is exacerbated by UV and goes darker. a
i first noticed mine a few years ago. it was like a stain near my cowlick and eventually spread down my forehead and across to above my nose. pg women get something similar for a short period (something? mask).
my skin specialist said it is nothing to worry about except for cosmetic purposes.
i use a cream called "Superfade"by John Plunkett two to three times a day and stay away from the sun, always wearing sunscreen, hats etc. i have become obsessive about it as 10 mins in the sun will undo weeks of the cream.
i hope this helps.

Not sure about clomid?? but it sounds like pigmentation which is caused mostly from the sun but can be caused from hormones, the pill, chemicals, perfume, even computers and indoor lights are believed to be responsible.
Sunscreen is a must rain hail or shine. I swear once you notice them they seem to get worse before your eyes.
There are heaps of things that can help like lightening products, exfoliation and laser.
If you want any more info let me know
i agree allgirl, after 10mins in the sun they are positively glowing!
I know and it seems like one day you don't have them then the next they are everywhere, like they multiply by the minute....
I work in a laser clinic and have seen some bad cases but it always seems bad on your own face no matter how small they are.
Not only the face, but chest and arms too, you don't think to put sunscreen there unless you are going to the beach etc etc.
Yes allgirls, it's like they have just appeared out of the blue!
Either that or I just haven't had much time lately to have a closer look at my face close up.
Thanks for the tips!
