I had LLETZ surgery a couple of months ago to remove abnormal cells from my cervix. It was done under a general anesthetic at the hospital. Some gynos give you a choice if you want it done under general or just a local, but tbh its something i did not want to know what was going on. I was out for about 2 hours and had bleeding for a month afterwards. As for what they do are a clinic.. im guessing it may only be the local as you need to be monitored while under a general. Im on a 2 year plan of check ups now inc pap smears, swabs and colposcopys. But if thats not what youre getting done, im not sure if it will relate.
