    Hi Control Freak
First keep on breastfeeding. Wash your hands with soap under running water for at least 1 minute after going to the toilet and before touching your baby. Make sure that you are drinking plenty of fluids. The burning is caused by the enzymes in your poo. These enzymes help to break down your food. Normally they do not get down as far as this but when you have diarrhoea they often do and when they do they can break down your flesh. So you need to remove these enzymes by washing your bum and then putting a barrier cream such as zinc cream or a nappy cream, on there. Be very generous with this cream.

Don't get all silly over the dishes either. REST YOURSELF!!! Drink heaps.

The runs can take it's toll badly enough when you are not recovering from birth and making enough milk for bubba.
