I dunno but I don't think you had proper food poisoning type gastro. I had severe gastro on Thursday night where I was up vomiting and sitting on the toilet at least once an hour. Every time I moved my head off the pillow I would need to bolt to the loo. I dry heaved any water I tried to keep down. It lasted 12 hours then I started feeling mildly better once I could keep liquids down. I didn't eat for the next 24 hours and only have been able to stomach small plain meals.
