    Cervical Lazer for abnormal cells

just wondering if anyone has had this done and how it went.

I want to know if you were under light sedation or just local anesthetic?

I have a procedure I am having doing in the clinic next thursday and Im not sure how it works and its not cervical cells I am having lazered off.

i had this done about 6 years ago (lasered abnormal cervical cells). Mine was done under general anesthetic and i was under for about 15-20 mins. came out feeling ok, just a bit tender with some bleeding.

I had LLETZ surgery a couple of months ago to remove abnormal cells from my cervix. It was done under a general anesthetic at the hospital. Some gynos give you a choice if you want it done under general or just a local, but tbh its something i did not want to know what was going on. I was out for about 2 hours and had bleeding for a month afterwards. As for what they do are a clinic.. im guessing it may only be the local as you need to be monitored while under a general. Im on a 2 year plan of check ups now inc pap smears, swabs and colposcopys. But if thats not what youre getting done, im not sure if it will relate.

    thanks for your reply ladies...

turns out I wont be having the lazering done tomorrow as i spoke to the Dr today, and he said it will need to be done under GA so will need to be admitted. I didnt think he would be able to have this procedure with local, specially after all the research I had done.
I hate even saying what it is, but i am having the vericose veins removed from that area.
