Hello, has anyone used magnoplasm to get splinters out? Does it work?

FYI - magnoplasm is essential epsom salts in a thick paste form - it seems to me like it should work for this, given everything else I know about how fab epsom salts are. Just interested in whether anyone else has used it successfully before I lay out the $$.

DD currently has a piece of potato strapped to her hand as that was the other old timers wisdom that Dr Google served up. one of these works because my shattered nerves can't handle the 6 year-old splinter hysteria!
