i went down to the chemist before and this young lady pharmacist who was also pregnant (28 weeks) offered to assist me in getting a few things,
i have really bad hay fever atm and starting to get a cold so i went down there to see what i could get to help my symptoms, obviously theres not really much i can have due to being pregnant but i thought i could see what i could get!!!
she told me the best thing to use was this nasal spray stuff so i said ok and took her advice when i got in the car i sprayed this stuff up my nose and have been using it ever since i bought it (bout 4:30 today)
offered a little relief for a while then just before i was reading the packet and it says DO NOT USE WHEN PREGNANT
Perhaps another visit to the chemist to pick up some FESS. It's a saline nasal spray. I'm currently using it for a cold. The packet says it is safe to use while pregnant and breastfeeding and is non habit forming.
Hi Laura
Livostin category B3 and should not be used during pregnancy. However as you have only been using it for a short time I doubt that there will be any problems. Perhaps you should go back to the chemist and tell them about the stress and fear that they have put you through.
dont quote me , but they usually put that warning on packets of stuff becuase they havent researched it enough to see the effects of the drug on pg women or the testing results were inconclusive , i wouldnt worry , i would stop usuing it if its worrying you too much , a chemist has a database of medicationsof who what and how they should be taken , and they would never sell you something that was harmful .
i was quite sick a while ago and the only thing i took was coldeze or sometihng that had paracetemol and something else ... then i was still so sick a midwife gave me panadine ... i thought it was not allowed ... but i had the best nights sleep that night
there is a number you can call that can give you info about medications but i dont know it ... sorry ... hope you feel better soon
