Hi Ann,

The pregnyl shot can usually take up to 4 days to get out of your system... so you should be right to so a HPT & see the results.

When we did our last cycle, I did a HPT everyday after my last pregnyl shot... it came up positive (I knew it was the pregnyl) - but the positive line got fainter each day after the injection - about 4 days later there wasn't a second line, and I didn't end up pregnant, so the HPT was accurate as far as fading as each day went... if that makes sense?

If you do one and its incredibly faint, it could be the last of it out of your system OR it could be an early positive - Did you have a blast transfer? I only ask because blasts usually don't show up on HPT's as early as other transfers. They like to take their time So don't get discouraged if it doesn't show a second line yet

If its a strong 2nd line, I'd say its a pregnancy & not the pregnyl in your system... Good luck hun! xxxxx

ETA - If AF comes, you should see her within a few days either side of when you're due to have your BT.
If you have a search of the Long Term TTC & Long Term Assisted Conception threads you'll find STACKS of posts about the pregnyl etc.. and also a 2 week wait thread you can join
