So sorry Taurean. I hope your dad is getting good guidance from his doc, and that he and your mum are as well as they can be.

Dad just phoned. It's a low grade cancer, I guess we expected that. He's got to look at his options now being either surgery to remove the prostate or radiotherapy. Both have their pros and cons so the decision won't be easy. I'm not all that surprised that it is cancer, just a bit shocked that my dad has cancer. Thanks for keeping him in your thoughts. Now it's just the big decision on which path he takes.

    Sigh
My Dad had prostrate Cancer....he is happy and healthy as ever. He decided to get the prostrate removed. In his Doctors opinion the radiotherapy might have worked but it would be more taxing on the body and the doctor didn't want the cancer to spread. In his opinion if the cancer is "contained" so to speak, removing that area prevents further risk of it spreading. I wish your father all the very best - I'm sure that his Doctor will help him come to the best decision for his circumstances

Sorry Taurean. Even when you expect news like that it doesn't make it any easier. Hope the treatment choice becomes clear soon.
