Hi framaine,
wow 8am to 9pm I don`t think I could handle that, we own a servo/mechanical store and I work from 8:30-about 5, then get to go home and do all that boring housework and cooking tea, don`t like it very much. Although it is nice not to have anyone to answer to, and I can hop on line whenever I like.
The first appointment was nothing like I expected, I had been warned that you have to see a councelor to make sure you are making the right choice for the right reasons, so was a little nervous. The Dr we saw was wonderful, he asked us some general health questions, age, family history, previous pregnancy`s , why we want to do this etc. If they havn`t already asked you for your sterilization info from the Hospital where you had it done I would look into that as I had to have mine sent over before the first appointment. DH had to have sperm count test which we aranged to have done on the same day and you get the results from that about 2 hours after the test. They will also ask to take some blood from you for various tests.
Then speaking from my experience they should put you on the waiting list right away if all is OK
