Give the uni a call and ask for special consideration due to illness. They are usually pretty good and when you say your Dr has ordered bed rest due to a serious infection they have to take notice.
I'm sorry you're still not better. Bed rest sounds difficult to manage/arrange but I'm not surprised since you haven't gotten much better on medication alone. Can the kids go for a visit with the grandparents for a night or two? I am sure you are looking at your options and I hope you can manage to rest a lot over the next week.
Was back at the GP yesterday. The fatigue is terrible. DH is annoyed at me all the time, as I can't fo anything. He's basically not talking to me.
The house is a MESS. Washing piling up. The whole time he hasn't even said one nice or encouraging thing.
((hugs)) My gf is in hospital b/c she wouldn't slow down or get help & is now due to have an operation (fluid on her lungs). Does your DH realise the extent of how unwell you are? Make sure you tell him so if he doesn't or remind him. Whereabouts are you? Can anyone on BB help out or can someone come and help you? You need to rest.
Hi,
Thanks for all the support. DH is now on annual leave for the next month. I still have 1 assignment due next week that I haven't even started. I will apply for an extension.
I went back to work for the first time yesterday. I only lasted half of the day, but that's better than nothing. I am attempting to work again today. Luckily I have a student at the moment, so I have been able to allow her to do some things. (Good learning for her)
Exhaustion is still an issue, so I am really trying to take it easy. It is not helped by DH's sister who is causing huge dramas! (There is a thread about it). But otherwise I am just going to bed early, and doing the bare minimum. I have employed a cleaner, so that helps a bit too. Also mum has been caring for the kids much more, so I am very grateful to her.
