Not sure if it works for toddlers but if you squirt it in there mouths and then blow on their faces it is a natural instinct for them to swallow. I was told that by a baby nurse and my DD is 14 months and it works a treat!

It's horrible when they're sick but refuse to take the thing that you know will make them feel better.

My DD is five and even now it is a struggle to get her to take medicine. It was nigh on impossible when she was younger. Have you tried putting it in a syringe and squirting it to the back of his mouth, so he can't spit it out but has to swallow? The only other suggestion is getting someone else to give him the medicine. For some reason DD takes medicine from her daycare centre teachers, but not from me or DH (even though we made sure to buy the same brand as daycare has...)
