not inside it was on the outside made one side swell up really huge sorry if 2much sorta were the leg meets the outer labia ??
Ree, that is what it could be. I had one a few years back and it got to well over golfball size but by the time I got in to see my GP it had gone down enough that 1 he didn't need to lance and drain it at the hospital and 2 I didn't need antibiotics. It was extremely painful and I had no idea what it was because I'd never had one before so you can imagine how worrying it is!
Emc, yep they are on the inside, but when they get infected like that, they become quite large and you can certainly feel them in the area Ree described. A cyst isn't always painless either.
i had an infected bartholins cyst and had to have it surgically lanced (it surpassed the size of a golf ball within a couple of hours) - it was nasty. was inside the labia - not on the outside where leg meets labia - that sounds more like it may have been an infected sebaceous cyst (which i get semi regularly -but not that big - and they tend to pop on their own in an ewwwww fashion)
the scar for my bartholins cyst surgery is sorta alongside my clitoris to give you an idea of location
The Bartholin's glands (also called greater vestibular glands) are two glands located slightly below and to the left and right of the opening of the vagina. They lubricate the vagina during sexual arousal.
A cyst happens when the duct gets blocked up, an abscess is when the cyst gets infected.
I had a girlfriend who had an abscess and had to have surgery to remove the abscess and part of the gland.
TMI it was so gross when it popped in looks and smelt a littlewhen i would stand it would take aboout 5minutes before i could stand completely upright it felt like a ripping stabbing feeling it was up there with one of the most painful things i have experienced it is still sore but not like the last few days
