Hi everyone. What a week!!! We went to the PINK concert on wednesday night with some friends, it was awesome!!! Spent most of thursday recovering, lol. Had a good weekend, actully had a night without the kids last night, they were all with their dads which rarely happens on the same night. Hows everyone doing?
mumofsix.. How you feeling?? Any news yet? Are you one of the good patient ones or do you you hpt early?
luvchildren.. The countdown is on! YAY! You will be sniffing before you know it.
mummy25.. My son tried Ritalin first and it did nothing for him. No change at all. ( except he did loose his appetite.) Then he tried Dexamphetamine and it made him really agresive. He also had headaches and felt sick and couldnt sleep. Now he is on Concerta and it has calmed him down heaps. He still gets some side effects, but most kids do with all the medications, its just a case of finding one that gives the best results and minimal side effects. For him it does him so much good we just try and work through the unwanted effect. The main one is loss of appetite. We just try and give him food that doesnt make him sick and also let him eat smaller portions more often. It seems to help a bit. He has to get checked every 6wks to make sure he doesnt loose too much weight. He so active he doesnt have any wieght to spare. Our journey through this started when he was a baby. He was taking steps at 8mths and running by 9mths. His preschool teachers back when he was 3yrs requested he have testing done and every teacher he has had since has said the same. Thankfully our other 4 are much calmer and we dont really have any trouble with them. I think the key is finding a gd doctor that you like and can trust.
dearmum..How long till the wedding now? I meant to ask you, Where are you going for your holiday? We are thinking bout taking all the kids to the gold coast at christmas, but havnt fully decided yet.
Chat soon everyone
NIC:)

hi everyone how are you all going? hope that you arent freezing since its so cold its even cold up here.
sorry to hear that your last attempt didnt work momofsix hopefully it will next time.
well you are right the time is passing quickly and its starting to get a little worrying not knowing tho it doesnt help that i watched a show on foxtel yesterday on ivf and wow i knew it could be heartbreaking but its so sad watching people go thru it even tho you dont know them and since its so envasive.
well on brighter note maybe...parter has gone nuts is now talking about getting married ick! tho good thing is that we agreed that we are doing the ivf first and hopefully the ivf will work. we both have wedding this weekend his is in nsw so he left today n wont be back til nxt week and ive got my mums which im not looking foward to i hate weddings.
anyway we're having a problem at the moment we're trying to decide on which doctor to go with at westmead any ideas???? cause we want someone good and that knows what there doing since im always classed as a high risk pregnancy. Is there anything that i should know before we start the ivf?
anyway have a good nite and i will talk to you tomarrow
take care

Hi everyone,
Well Today is officially 7DPO so i guess if we got it fertilised we are now hoping it implants!!!>
Dear Mum: My FS said that this is the first step of IVF ( apparently this is the old fashinoned way what they used to call IVF ) He said it was a stimulated cycle ( Clomid ) I had my HCG?? ( Pregnol ) injection last Friday and the procedure was done last Saturday.
If unsuccessful this cycle we will be having at least 1 more go then we go to IVF. to you hun you inspire me !
Kiya:  wow I have had a chance to finally read back through some of the posts ... what a rough time. Thoughts are with you and your son.
To everyone else  and :bluedust::pink-babydust::SAAF:

Hi Ladies
I had dramas after dramas yesterday,
It started like this on Monday i had my 18week scan and babies were both doing good then it came time to check my cervix anyway it was only measuring 2.2cm:o the scan lady seemed worried so she had another lady look at it and said they have let my doc know whats going on.So anyway that night i started googling cervix because even though i have had kids i was to young and didnt take notice of all the names ect so there i was at 10pm panicing coz a shortern cervix meant i could be starting labour or its coming very soon EEK! everyone was asleep and there i was crying thinking oh no not another lot of preterm babies. Before i knew it my belly started to tighten up and i knew what happened with Shaheed so i quickly went to the Emergeny and after a good 4hrs was seen by the doc.I gave me a internal and said it seems like your cervix has gotton shorter tonight but im not in labour,he addmitted me into hospital but after a few hrs i felt fine so i left then as my DD was driving home i could feel leakage but ignored it,i hopped back into bed and kept having these leaks so there goes the panic again so up i went to the Emergency had the wait another Bl****Y 3hrs,anyway the fluid was tested and it wasnt my waters farout thankgoodness. So here i am back home now i have to go see my OB and discuss whats going to happen with this shorterned cervix, there is a option of having a stitch put in but theres risks to that so im in to minds still:juggle:
Oh ladies the good news is on Monday i found out what im having its a little boy & Girl.
Sorry but have to get ready for the silly docs again.
-
Katt.... congrats on the wedding.
You and DH will need to have a full blood count each including HIV and for you your rubella levels.
DH must have a sperm count done. Even tho he's not the problem they will still want it just to be doublely sure.
So good luck with that hehe.
Dearmum... cant wait to hear what the ob has to say today.
So worried about you and those little ones:pray:
Congrats on Boy/Girla pigeon pair
-
Hi Ladies
Just touching back on how it all went today at the docs.
Well i made up my mind and im having the stitch on the cervix put in on Sunday phew one day after the wedding.
They asked me to cancel my holiday:wall:ahhh im finding that really hard,i mean i have spent $$$$ and have no insurance so canceling will cost us $10000 down the drain
so just dont know if i should go and take it easy like stay at the hotel more or cancel the lot.Its so unfair why am i having these problems.Hubby is ok with what ever i decide hmmm.
-
Dearmum... I don't know anything at all about the cervixal stitch but please be carefull.
I think it would be to dangerous even thinking about fling at this stage with the presure of the altitude and stuff.
That might be enough to send you into labour?
If it was me I wouldn't run the risk buts thats just my option.
Maybe if you feel comfortable enough let the rest go so you don't waste the money or since its a medical reason they might refund the lot.
Worth checking into?
 you make atleast another 6weeks,to give these little ones a chance.
-
Hey Dearmum....congrats on the boy and girl news.....as for the stitch, i had a cervical circloge when i was preg with maddison because they didn't want my placenta dropping because of having a grade 4 placenta previa and also have mega thinned blood fromt he clexane injections for my DVT....with mine i had to stay in hospital for a few days, but by this stage i was so totally used to it as the hospital was my 2nd home...i had a little spotting, but that is normal, plus they also had to make sure that for me it wasn't my placenta bleeding....my stitches were taking out at 34 weeks and ended up carrying maddison through to 38 weeks and delivered her VBAC very successfully.....i tend to agree with mumof6, and because of the cabin pressure at high altitude, it can bring you into pre-term labour and you need to get these babies to a safe minimum of at least 26 weeks.....if you get the stitch/es in, the first thing the dr is going to say is "NO" flying.....and more than likely you will also since having twins be delivering by c-section, they may leave the stitches in till you deliver to be safe.....**hugs** kiya
-
hi everyone how are you?
well the weather is warmer up here?
just wanted to say good luck for the ppl going thru the ivf process and that i hope it works for you this time
