hi luvchildren how are you? well we have decided to go the ivf just gotta get everything organised and all the tests done by the gyno next month. i havent had any tests done so i dont know the condition of the tubes but we're thinking its just cheaper to go the ivf we got the information the other day we're just going thru it and looking at the doctors that itself is a hard decision.

Hi Katt....yeah everything is doing good....just wish i would get some rain to put into my water tanks....they are so low.....we watched the radar yesterday and you saw all this rain heading our way, then like usual it splits in two goes around us then joins back up again....grrrrrrr.....kiya

I have been reading this thread for a few weeks and today I decided to join up and say hello!

I have 2 kids from my previous marriage and my partner does not have any kids. In 2002 I had a tubal ligation that I have always regretted and felt pressured into.
So now, we have decided we want to have children together and I have been doing research on the net about both tubal reversals and IVF. The surgery worries me and at this stage I am leaning towards IVF at Westmead (waiting for my package in the mail).
I live about 5 hrs from Sydney and noticed that some Qld residents went to Westmead for their IVF, how long do you need to be in Sydney for? Can you be taking the hormones at home and blood tests at home? Or do you need to be in Sydney for the entire cycle?? Anyone help me on that?
Also, will Westmead do IVF if I haven't attempted a tubal reversal?? I really don't want to have to go through this surgery if I can avoid it.

Hi Jo and Welcome to our little part of the cyber world....You don;t have to had the TR done to go through Westmead....I haven't had a TR and i am going through Westmead and i am one of the ones from Qld.....As for the tests I'm not sure, but i am also in the process of trying to have them done up here....When you do IVF, then dig deeper into all the tests hence why you can't get them through your GP.....As for staying down there the whole cycle, no you don't have to do that...you do however have to go down a few times with your partner, but you can also go down yourself, but on the day of pickup he will also need to be there.....the best person to ask is Mumof6....she had a very successful #1 IVF at Westmead.....wish you all the best on your journey....cheers kiya
:leap:OMG OMG LADIES ITS TWINS YAYYYY IM SO HAPPY MY DREAM CAME TRUE:jawdrop:haha i had a dream last night that i was living in the country and i needed to go for my scan so i asked my DH if he could use the mini plane...lol but he just kept taking to my mum for hrs so anyway i was panicing and in the end i didnt figure out how to get there ahhhh what a dream i only had about 3hrs sleep last night.
Today while waiting for my turn i kept thinking oh no how am i going to handle it if there is no baby inside i was almost sick with worry.
Im going to sleep like a baby tonight.

Startingover.... welcome, its always excting to get a member in out little group and share the experiance its truely awesome and I love all the girls in here and Im sure you will to in time.
As Kiya said I have been thru westmead and I now have a beautiful little princess. Its all pretty overwellming at first but once you get started its just so easy. Its just making that first step and jumping in feet first. No you don't have to stay in sydney the hole time.Yes you take the drugs home with you. And yes you can have any scan and bloods done thru your f/s at home but that will be at your cost. I would recommend staying in sydney for atleast the last week of your cycle cause you may need extra stimulation( extra drugs) and they like to keep a close eye on the folicals towards the end to see if there big enough mature etc. Its so hard to explain it all on a computer screen so if you wanted to know more you could call if you felt cumfy enough and i would be happy to answer any questions you both have. 0400003378. Well ladies i think i need to change my name to drama queen :rolleyes:well after my happy news on Friday come Saturday i started spotting again anyway its still here so i went in for another scan and thankgoddness they still have there heart beats,but im worried coz my doc said im bleeding from the womb and if it gets heavy i will m/c ahhh please dont.So im in bed today hoping and praying it settles down,i cant have my dreams taken away from me that quick.I do know one thing if i lose these babies im not going in for any more.

Dearmum.... i think the best place for you is bed or the sofa lounge till you reach 12weeks. I know it would be hard but the best thing for these :twin_neutral: at the moment. Like you said you dont want this dream to be taken away! Its only another 4 and abit weeks away, your doing a great job getting this far! Take care darl

Think i shoulda stayed in bed also today news from doctor wasnt good all she knows and has ruled out is that its not my appendix which only means its something reproductive and isnt good so now have to have a scan done.
