Tubal Reversals #3

I cant sleep much at night, I get all jittery like I cant keep my legs still. I feel ok, just really worn out, or as I say to DH, old & haggard.

I imagine I'll have Ellie & you & Dea will be PG soon after!

Hi maz, storm, dea, I had the reversal and all went better than expected. We had a few hiccups with the car but made it to sydney. It cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I hope you are okay storm! I have you in my prayers dea. The doctor said it went well and both tubes are back together but I am at higher risk of ectopic. I know that God will keep me in good hands as I leave the life making up to him. Anyway, have a very merry xmas and a happy new year-storm, i guess you'll be in two pieces lol. I hope everything works out well for you.

YAy Luvchildren, congratulations! Woo hoo, great news hearing both tubes are back together. Dont worry to much about the tubal scare, we all have that risk to get through, lots of positive tinking!! Wishing you asll the best for TTC. Looks like you Dea & Maz will be all going at it together!!
Personally, I can't wait to be in two pieces ROFLMAO, I've had it today, I want to be me again!!

Hi my name is Em.I have FIVE children Ebonie 12, Jye 7, Eden 5, Bryce 3, Seth 10mths. Im new to this site,lovchildren put me on to it.I had my tubes cut and tied last year in march. I had my reversal on 23rd of October 2006. I would love to share some of your stories and advice.

HI ya mumof5. Did you get your tubes tied after having Seth? Just ask us anything, Im only to happy to flap my trap. ;) I had my tubes reversed 4th October 2005 and feel pg with Vyolett in December. Ive had one m/c since having her in Sep this year and am trying desperately to convince hubby that we need to have 4 lol
Storm mate are you still with us? Not long now...im getting excited. You wwatch, you'll go over your due date now. 3rd Feb is a good one (hehehehhe)

well i hope everyone had a fantastic xmas, and new year.nothing exciting happening with me, i finally got my periods back after giving birth, so now i can really try and concentrate on TTC, I really didnt want to fall before my first cycle, so i am more than happy to fall now, so wish me luck.......LOL

Bugger Chrissy - I was hoping you'd have fallen pg by christmas, fingers crossed for this month.
Im going to concentrate on loosing more weight before I start TTC again, so Ive got a year to pull my finger out and move my fat. Thankfully I didn't put on any weight over chirstmas.

welcome back maz congratulations storm. luvchildren and maz i had a false alarm a few days ago. i was waiting for my period and due date come and nothing. usually i get them in the morning. i got them late afternoon. i never get my period in the afternoon. how rude is that.

cr@p dea. Lets hope its an implant bleed. if not I hope you had a fantastic New Years night (if you AF has gone) and that you dont get another AF for 10 months.

mumof5 - when the doc's were wheeling me in for my c/s with Vy they asked me if I wanted my tubes done. Both Jed and i said NO at the same time. I had alot of pain when I had them done and i fell pg 3 times too but always m/c by the 9th week.
Jed was originally going to get a Vasec done when Vy was 6 months old but we have both changed our minds about it. We don't want to make another mistake, although he feel's we're complete as a family I still feel the urge to have one more...but when is one more ever enough? lol

Maz....I think all u girls just had the clamps put on? am I right? I was reading about Storm and i think it said she had the clamps on for 7yrs then had them taken off. Now she has had 2 more babies since. Boy is she one lucky lady. I wish i had the clamps on stead of having them cut and a piece of tube removed. People tell me im crazy for having the reversal.They all say 5 kids is way to many in the first place. I want an even number:pray: :pray: and just to top it off a:babygirl: would make it perfect

You still have to have your tubes cut and rejoined either way mumof5, as the clamps scar your tubes together. Yes, I did have the clamps but after I had the reversal the doctor told me one of the clamps had damaged my tube as it had been put on wrong. Its the reason I had a lot of pain at AF time. Knock on wood, I havent had that pain since, I also dont have the pulling on that side or the knots i had before. I would love even numbers here aswell. 4 would be lovely and my mum keeps telling me im going to end up with 5, either way I dont care. People are so judgemental aren't they!

my tubes had clamps too! and after the op the doctor told me that they did a few stitches on my tubes and then ran some dye through and said they were fine. i'm going to see my doctor this arvo. i want to know what that pain is when i have my period. i've had that with my last and the one just gone.

Dea - owie I hope that its normal healing pain. I cant remember if I had any or not afterwards, but then I only got one small short period and I was pg straight after that..wait yes I did have a painfull pg cause I doubled over shopping. I hope it means everything is in order Dea. Let us know how you go.
Storm - your probably flat out hun, but expect a little something from the BOurke clan in the mail mate.

Yeah Maz that was my next question to see if they cut yours to repair it all. The doctor said they had made a mess of my right side but he tried his best to fix it but my left side is good to go:D .Yeah people do judge and once you have more then 3 kids these days your classed as abnormal, but i love being different. My brother only has 2 kids and hes flat out handling that.

Hey Dea nice to hear from you.Yeah i had the dye aswell. Since ive had my tubes done ive had two cycles since and they have been heaps heavy and ive had clots aswell as a period pain.I havent had period pain since i was like 14.Sorry if thats to much details girls but i just dont understand it. Hope all goes well at the doc.

Hey dea, i have just started my first cycle. I had some pain on the very first day, and some pain initially, but now i feel okay. I hope that you are okay... i have been praying for you to concieve. :pray:
Hey maz, Hows your ttc going? My first cycle is okay apart from being a little heavier than i had hoped, but that's okay. Although, they did come right on time, which will make it easier to keep track of. I didn't get my photos of my tubes yet-though, i am hoping to get them in the next week or two and will fill you in on details.

I had m/s my whole pg and lost 20kg.
We're not TTC as yet. Just want to get my body into a routine and then looking perhaps near the end of the year (if I can wait that long)

Yeah i got m/s a little bit with my daughter but not the boys. Me to Maz i lost about the same with each of my boys.But I put on about 20kgs with my daughter. It didnt take to long to put it all back on again.

i don't get it although i get nauseous. have any of you had vbac? I am just wondering if you guys have any info on this subject-its just i would never want to have a c-section again, especially after the traumatic birth of my last daughter. :grouphug:

mumof5 - Ive only put on 5kg of my 20. I dont really want to put it back on again this time so Im dieting. Im classed as obese anyway so a bit more weight off will be fantastic.
luvchildren - I begged for aVBAC with both Wilhelm and Vyolett. More with Vyolett cause I went into labour 3 weeks early. My waters broke as they were putting me on the op table. I have a general cause my back is really bad and they cant get the eppi into it. My c/s this time was fantastic. I had no pain what so ever. I felt like I'd gone to sleep and woken up with a baby. The nursing staff couldn't believe it. I had Vylett at 4 in the morning and i was up by 7am, showered and all. Impretty sure there's a section in this big maze somewere about VBAC, have a sticky mate

I know ive had 5 kids and all but what is vbac???. Join the club maz im no super model, my 5 kids made dam sure of that.Ive had 2 c/s and i was home in a day and a half and i think there pretty dam good

vbac is viginal birth after c/s. Ive got floppies everywere. I just have to make sure im all 'tucked' in before we got any were. lol.

Hey Clar,i dont really know to much about it but ive heard once your a c/s your aways a c/s cause there are alot of dangers. I was stuffing around on here the other night and having a nosey :lol:. I came across this thread which comes up under the tubal reversal search. Its called im having a op!!! I was reading what everyone had to say in that thread and i came across one story about this lady by the name of tiggy,and she is a midwife. There was a link at the bottom of her post about a baby she had lost from doing that very same thing, his name was William David the poor little darln. Let me tell you i wish i never found it, it was a very sad story so make sure you have the tissuse out ready to go. Have a read darl

Mumof5-I havent read that but now Im going to go and look for it. I tried in vain to go natural but I was only told after having Vyolett that my pelvis is to badly twisted to go natural. Id rather get cut open so to speak then to play with my babies life. I'll be having a nother c/s when I fall pg again to and yes I'll be $hitting myself with that one aswell.

Hey maz, thats full on isn't it-about your pelvis-you are courageous! I don't know if i could bear another c-section and if God willingly i have another child, it will be normal delivery. I have only had the one c-section and never want to go through that again. I think the doctors and the care team around you make the hugest difference when it comes down to it. Thats why i asked if anyone knew about vbac. I just finished my first period. Not as i hoped but okay-lasted for 8 days. I was hoping it would have been a little lighter too-but not so. :eek: I'm not really on the ttc, as i believe in God and have left it up to him.:pray: I have just prayed that it would not be ectopic and not m/c as i have had 4 of those:frown:

I am a little annoyed though, that Dr cooper didn't send the photos after the operation-would have been a nice present. Oh I went searching for that lady tiggy-where i read she had mentioned that the little boy had a major heart problem in the aorta. I couldn't find the thread you mentioned, i ended up looking up her name and found 'hi im new here'. Anyway I also found some comforting info about vbac-and i encourage you to sticky. I have had 5 normal births and if God willingly I am to have another child, it will be v/b.

I had tubes clamped in November 2006 & am finding it very difficult to come to terms of not having any more children. I have 3 - 10 year old,6 & 4 year old. am now looking into reversal. Gp is not giving me much hope but gave me a referal today to see a specialist in melbourne. am finding it virtually impossible to find any dr who specilises in this field in melbourne. Luv kids,the i read you went to dr cooper i read about him on the net. What was he like? I'd rather not travel to sydney for obvious reasons. but if i can't find any one legit i might have to. the most important thing is making sure i get a doctor to knows what he is doing as its such a delicate operation. You gals are all so lucky to have so many kids they are really such a blessing & bring so much joy and happiness. I just don't want it to end! Talk soon!

carma - get a referral for the reproductive unit at the Royal womens in carlton. Thats were I got my reversal done and they were fantastic. My first appointment was in April with hubby, then I had to go back in august for blood tests and then I had my reversal in october 2005. I didn't even have to wait 10 months and it was all done on the public list. I didn't have to pay one cent. They were truely wonderful. give it a go mate.

Hey Carma..I would try what Maz said,it sounds like the way to go if you dont mind waiting. I also had my reversal with Dr cooper and i found him to be good at what he does but maybe not the best at comunication...lol but what guy is. I picked to go to the RPA hospital as a private uninsured patient the reason being it was only $269.00 for the surgery and hospital stay and the doctors costs were on top of that. Hey Clara- i guess with your c/s it was very sudden and rushed. Both of mine were planned c/s cause of the damage done from my third child and number 4 was up side down anyway. Its a very personal choice i guess,but ive had two planned c/s now and they were great and the best thing is you get a date so you can plan everything and you get to have the baby 2weeks early :D .Gotta love that idea when your big fat and pregnant and just want it over and done with.

yeah Maz ill be having a c/s again if im to fall pregnant,im a big girl now and im sure i can handle it.:D
