WARNING TMI but i'm concerned....had anyone else had this or similar??

I've always had problems with hameroids since i was a teenager. Supposdly (sp) put down to my constant and hugely fluctuating weight. They got worse with DD and then settled again. Ok here the TMI part...

When I went to the toilet this morning I had blood clots. They weren't huge but seemed to be quite allot of blood in the toilet. I did have to strain a little bit but nothing huge - this despite the amount of water i drink and fruit i eat etc. I didn't hurt just a slight sting afterwards.

The hamerroids aren't so much my concern, as i've had them for ages but the amount of blood there was scared the c**p out of me. I've never seen/ had blood clots like that. Is this something that is normal for pg?? Has anyone heard/had/seen anything like this before??

Hun, sorry if this is a silly question but was the blood from your anus or is it possible that it was from your vagina?

Either way I'd be incline to get it checked today. If you can't get into your DR given it's Sunday perhaps call your local ED and seek their advice. If it was from your vagina I'd call the midwifes at the hossy you are going to.

I'd be getting it checked REGARDLESS. Any possible bowel bleeding needs to be checked. Some things to think about and tell them - was it bright blood or dark? Was it streaked in the stools i.e. mixed in with the poo? The fact there were clots is concerning for my nurse brain.

Not a silly question. Blood was definatly form anus area rather than vagina.
ok... so off to get things checked. Will have to wait until DH gets back to look after DD

Went to Dr, can't see anything from outside other than a graze but have to do a sample so we'll see what it says. Wasnt my regular dr, i personally thought he was a bit dumb cause he didn't seem concerned at all. Seeing my own dr tomorrow so i'll ask again then.
