Question what do you think this could be

My left boob has a very sore spot. It feels a little lumpy but no obvious lump. I'm guessing the lumpiness is normal breast tissue, but is it normal to be sore???

I haven't BF for 12 months now, so pretty sure it's not milk duct related.

Have you had this before and was it normal, do you think it's normal?

The very fact that you are asking means you think it might not be normal.

If it were me, I would get it checked. Any lumpiness in the breast should be checked, the soreness is an additional reason to warrant getting at the very least an ultrasound.

Good luck, don't fret, I have one troublespot spot in my boob, it could just be "normal" for you. But please see your doctor for the very small chance that it's not.

My SIL had a similar thing a bit longer than 12 months after she had bf. It turned out to be a cyst which was removed.
    Get it checked out JIC

Thank you ladies for your quick replies. I guess your all right, the fact I'm asking probably means I know it's not normal for me, . The more I think about it the more I think it could have something to do with the ducts. (it's only been 6 months since BF not 12 double :doh I only stopped BF when DS was 14 months, because my doc felt a lump at a check up, and said to wait until I finish BF and re check it, to see if it goes down. It did somewhat but not completely so she wasn't worried. But it is very sore to touch now. And I guess I'm a little worried about it, it's been this way for a few weeks now and seems to only slowly be getting worse.

Think I will try and get in to her my GP this week.

    Thanks again for your help.

Agree - my Mum had it a few years ago and she hadn't breast fed for about 25 years - she thought the dr was joking!!!!
