Sorry I don't have a medical answer for this. But if it hurts bad enough, it is worth getting checked out. Have you thought about getting a pre-TTC check up done, and mentioning this to the doc while you are there? Good luck and I hope it is nothing serious!

No idea Amy - very odd though. It would be worth getting it checked out, if for no other reason than your own peace of mind.

There is no major pain - the sharp pain on my left side is only for a second and then it dulls. It doesn't send me keeling over or anything.

It just feels so bl00dy weird! Something must be up - muscles wouldn't spasm in there without a reason surely.

ETA: It's happening again right now - really sharp pain on my left side. WTF?

Hmmm, it seems odd, I have no idea why that would happen. I only have symptoms like that when I'm pg! I would watch it for another few days and if it keeps happening it may be worth a trip to your GP, even just for peace of mind. If it's not severe then I'm sure it's nothing serious.

I was about to post the same as Trish, I've only ever had that when pregnant and everything was stretching and growing. Probably a good idea to visit a dr.

Oh, and a BAD idea to google it, it'll just tell you a million and one things, and none of them reassuring!

I went onto medline plus which I used a lot when working in a medical library. There was one possible diagnosis on there which also relates to another issue I have (painful sex). I've spoken to my GP and I've been to a gynaecologist for that and they can't find anything wrong.

    It's so frusterating.
