    Definitely time for a GP. Your throat could have an infection and need AB's.
    They would listen to your chest, as your cough could also get to your lungs causing and infection. My DH had a cough, it was really bad, so bad he actually tore a lung muscle. The GP put him on Prescription strength Cough Medicine as he said all the over the counters ones are not effective.

    Thank you.. I have an appointment in an hr. I managed to convince DH to stay home from work this arvo too. Don't think I could do dinner, bath and bed on my own

    I always give myself 2-3 days before seeing a Dr. If there is no noticeable improvement in that time then I head off to the Dr, unless of course things get much worse in that time then I would go earlier.
    I hope whatever you have goes away real soon
