Anyone know about angel orbs?

A friend has sent me a photo with DS, me and herself in it. DS has what she says is quite a large angel orb right on his face. This friend (actually ex-employer) is quite into this sort of stuff, and considers herself pretty knowledgeable. She was so surprised by it's size and location that she sent to friends in the states who have a special interest in this sort of thing, and they said it's quite a rare one?!

Apparently he has a strong spirit guiding him, to help him achieve great things in his life. She has always told me that he is a 'special' boy and says that she can't wait to see him grow up and what he will do. Of course, we think he's ace, but we're his parents, we're biased LOL

I've never heard of orbs before, can anyone tell me what they know?
