    Hanging Rock

I wandered around there today, I had the urge to go there this morning, wasn't going to go for a drive today other than to the markets.

The energies are quite interesting. Didn't feel anything bad, just lots of energies and alas, I didn't find Miranda

In a few of the photos there is a haze across them, it isn't from the camera because I was checking to see if the lens was clean before taking the shots.

I want to go back again, but not on a weekend as there were too many people there to fully be able to sit and meditate without being disturbed.

Interesting hun, hope you get a chance to go back soon
They wouldn't be gorgeous in an open expanse to explore and get lost

Can I ask - is the story about Hanging Rock true then? I was told it was fiction ... but not by an overly credible source

    It has always fascinated me.

I went there a few years back. Alot of energy at that place. I got an eerie feeling from the rocks, all of them in shapes of faces and seemed like they were all trying to tell me something but couldn't get it out. Its absolutly beautlify place though.

what i did find funny though, is the sign at the front gate that basically says something like if you get abducted or disapear its not our fault you enter at your own risk =P

I believe it is fiction, but still a great story any way.

Been many years since I went there, it would be great to go again as an adult rather than a messed up teen.

Yes the book itself is fiction. I need to track down a post 1987 version of the book when the final paragraph was put in (after author's death & at her request). I had a copy from just after the movie was done in the 70s.

Astrid - I was reading yesterday that the events that the book are based on (the girls going missing) is fiction but they can't discount it being based on similar things happening.

The rocks are amazing, the shapes and faces, same with the trees. They're replanting a whole heap at the moment.
