thanks for all your support ladies - unfortunately nothing has been handed in at the shopping centre (didnt think it would be!) - so ive lodged my claim with my insurance company - but that in itself is a whole other story....funny how when it comes time to them paying you out, there is always a "catch"

    - thanks again!

Have you tried DD's car seat, where there is a slit for the seatbelt/harness to go through the cover? You may need to take the cover off for a really good look. (they swallow hairclips and tiny teddies whole!)

Yeah, we actually took out DD's whole seat out of the car and took the cover off so we could check all the little nooks and crannies and theres nothing - I've resigned myself to the fact that it is in fact lost and am now wrangling with my insurance company to pay out the value of what we had it insured for, which is proving to be a nightmare

    thank you all for help!

Aww thanks Netix - im slowly accepting that it has gone and that i need to "build a bridge" - im more angry at myself for being careless - even tho i have zero i idea how it "just came off" and disappeared

I was at the shopping centre the other day & thought of this thread & automatically thought of/ saw 'shopping bags'. Not sure if they are the plastic ones or the recyclable. Have you checked through any shopping bags you keep?

Thanks hun - yep went through all the shopping bags i used that day and there was nothing in any of them - I've "let it go" so i guess if it's meant to come back to me it will - otherwise some lucky girl is walking around with a $6500 ring on her finger

Sorry, just thought of it now, have you mentioned it to the police? If someone hands it in, it will more than likely be to them.
