I recently had a pyschic reading done and was told that I have negative energy that is holding me back. I would love some ideas as to how to do this. I've always been a worryer and want to feel free from my negative thoughts.
Can someone please help...?
Did you possibly have that reading done at the psychic fair over the weekend? (Just recognised your name from a thread awhile back - we're from the same town). A friend's mum went there and had a reading done and she said how disappointed she was in it. I've had two done there, and have never been completely impressed by them.
I've done heaps of reading and work on myself in this kind of area. Have you heard of Louise Hay? She's got some really good books, CDs and recently released a DVD. She really focuses on the benefits of positive affirmations, change your thinking change your life kind of stuff.
Feel free to PM me, if you want to chat, borrow books etc. I've got a heap of affirmation cards as well that I pull out every now and then that can be really helpful.
I've always found that by 'being grateful' for incidental things it can make me realise how lucky I am. This in works for me when I'm feeling particularly negative or worrying excessively. Start by writing it down on a pad... I am grateful for a roof over my head, I am grateful for loving family and friends, I am grateful for the beautiful sunny day etc etc until you list it out it doesn't really sink in how lucky we are. Once you are grateful for what you already have the more 'space' you have for more good things to come into your life.
Also, try to distance yourself from negative people or those that make you feel 'drained' when you've been in touch with them. I've had a few friends over the years that made me feel this way and I only shook off the bad energy when they were no longer in my life.
White light visualisation also helps with dispelling negative energies. Sounds silly to many but it works.
Hope I've helped in some way or at least given some food for thought.
