i'm with MD on this one. find a healthy balance with it. dont push too hard, but let it happen. (although i have no right to say much on the matter as i have spent the last oh say 13 years trying to block all things spooky lol).

we laugh at clinkers, but yeah, basic work like that can be really helpful. it is a matter of allowing your concious brain to take the back seat while the spiritual comes to the fore. it is a trick and can be hard to recognise at first but with practice you get better.

you may also find that there are certain times when it is stronger than others (like after a recent passing, or a birth or a new house with a 'guest' that you have been into).

my 'gift' (if that's what we wanna call it ) is quite disturbing. i have mentioned in here previously that i am able to sense the aura of death. so am (forced) to see the longevity (or rather lackthereof) of a soul in this life. my last one was really strong and weirdly enough has opened me up to my other more difficult 'talents'. but TBH i have decided that 2011 is the year i stop hiding and work on it again (albeit with a more healthy attitude: life balance and all that jazz).

my latest cool talent that has started to come up again is premonition! YAY!! the best one so far happened a couple of weeks ago in the city. i was waiting with baby marta at the traffic lights to cross the road (we were walking, her in the pram). so as i was standing there waiting for the 'green man' to come on i had a clear premonition of a green car running the red. in the space of like, half a second, i had that vision, had the thought, oh i had better stay on the kerb a bit and wait for the car to pass). ANYWAY, being me, i laughed at my 'paranoia'. green man came up i took a step and then like in slow motion i stopped, pulled the pram in close to me and turned to look up as the green car came towards us. the woman who was walking beside me saw me stop and stayed with me (thankfully!), the car sped its way through without even a second glance thankfully missing all of us then coming to a screeching halt as the driver realised what he had done (poor guy, he must of been freaked out). the lady beside me looked me square in the eyes and said: 'wow, good on you for stopping' and gave a nervous laugh (if we had not of stopped we would of been pummelled). it was weird though, because as it was happening it was like part of me was not 'there'. so when the lady spoke to me, part of me was so confused as to why she was talking to me. and it took me quite a few seconds to realise that i still needed to respond. all i could muster was a brief smile and a shrug of the shoulders. she looked at me like i musta been on drugs

anyway, enough of my ramble; i reckon if you are feeling it come through and you like it, then go for it!

I've always just called this stuff instinct. I find certain people I am naturally more connected to make my 'instinct' stronger. I was waiting for my sister to get home from work before I called her a few days ago. Without focussing too much o it I randomly gave her a try just after 6pm. She said "freaky, I just walked in." By the way I have no idea when she finishes work, its always different.

I often call my mum when she happens to be either walking past the phone, or better yet, holding it for whatever reason. Lol she hates it. With both of my pregnancies I had dreams about them before I had a positive test. The first time was the spookiest because we werent ttc, and I wasn't late yet.

If I try to make a prediction though, I can't. I find it worka best if I just follow my instincts in everyday life and I'm usually led in the right direction. That's all I can think of for now just listen for those little whispers.

I am only fairly new to BB so many of you wont know me. I started hearing snippets of sentences as a child, almost like I was eaves dropping on a conversation but it was always people that were no where in close vicinity so I knew I wasn’t imagining it. I used to ask my sibling “did you hear that” and always go a resounding no from them.
For years I didn’t make much of it. My grandfather passed away when I was 5 and I could feel his presence around me from time to time, then at about 14/15 muching around with my friends he came though to me for the first time. I was so completely freaked out lol.

I still felt people around me and heard those snippets and still do, but about 5 years ago I met a friend who helped me “hear” more. I can feel peoples emotions which can definitely have it’s drawbacks let me tell you. My strongest sense(not sure thats the right word) is in empathy I spent alot of time learning about readings etc and I used to do readings in a chat forum (not professionally) and even though I had learnt how to understand the information given to me, it still surprised me everytime the person understood what I was saying lol

Most of the time these days I don’t “listen” but I do every now and then get a wake up and get a message, and sometimes they have to try a few times before I listen lol. Anyway, thats how I came to be where I am now.

I've recently had another weird coincidence or not experience. Dreamt I was at the airport trying to go to VIC just to get Krispy Kreme donuts. Next day a friend had put pics of them on FB, and then my cousin told me he was going to VIC.
See, could just be a coincidence but I always have these kinds of dreams.
Wish I could know for sure.
