Can anyone here 'see' whether I should do the course I've been considering for the past few years or would I be wasting my time and money?

I don't get an immediate flash impression on this one... not that i'm reliably psychic though.... I do feel that education of any kind is rarely wasted money. It might not lead to the perfect job but it might be of huge personal use to know and understand the topics covered.... you never know how you will end up applying knowledge sometimes.

Tinks, my immediate feeling is that there is a course in same subject area, rather than the specific one you're thinking of...it's like it runs alongside, or with a different institution, which is more suited to your needs at this time. It's like you've identified the area you're interested in, but now you need to do some more research to find the actual course. I feel it's closer and more accessible than you have realised, you'll be a little surprised when you find it.
