My dad passed away in 1996 and I felt his presence around for days after, at first I was scared but then it was conforting. For me I choose to believe that he can see my kids that he never met as they were born after he died. I also ask and have asked for his guidance and advice or just a question about something in the past and the answer I got came true. So I do believe.
