those who see....help me understand.

turns out my doula for dd2 who i am now friends with, recons she sees spirits etc.

she has said a few things that have freaked me out/made me think.

i not skeptical, but im not a full believer either, does that make any sense, like some of the stuff she is telling me, im a bit thrown by.

i know there are a few people on here that might be able to help, im not asking for confirmation or anything like that but i jut want to talk to someone else about it, work out what i think about what she has told me. i havent put the whole story on here, but if someone can help or wants to know i will.

I think it depends for each perosn hun, i have SEEN people and also had feelings about people being in my house, recently it was a woman walking down my stairs. No one else can back me up but i know in myself i have really seen those things IYKWIM.
I've also dreamt people are PG without actually knowing first that they were but it's not always true.

Feel free to PM me but i'm no expert, i know there are ladies on here who have a 'gift' and may be able to tell you more.

Some of the things she has said are troubling - because she couldnt have knowen these things or because she is telling what is going on around you?
You might want to think about having a talk with her about limits- she could ask if you want to know things or messages etc.
At the same time, she obviously trust you and values you highly to share this gift she has with you

we have known each other for about a year and she has slowly bought it into conversation and tested the water, only after she stopped being 'doula' and started being 'friend'. im quiet open to things like that, although i dont have any sort of gift etc my self, my mum has always talked about it as she has seen things, and i have always shown interest etc, but never asked anything about myself, if she has seen anything in relation to me etc, it was only the other day that we had a big conversation about it and she was telling me things she has seen etc etc. and things in relation to me. i told her i didnt want to know and we ended the conversation, but i couldnt stop thinking about it and asked her to tell me more today. but i still dont know?????

ETA: i didnt want to know because it freaks me out a bit.

I see spirits especially my dads side of the family but I'm the only one in my family eg my mum and,sisters think I'm nuts . So I just say believe it or not that is what happens .

Can u elaborate on your story for us ?

It is a scarey thing to open yourself to, especially if you cant see, it can feel like being blindfolded. Also its instinct to believe what you can see- so if you cant see it....
I think everybody has had chills up their spine or felt uncomfortable for no apparant reason at sometime or another.

Perhaps if you talk to your friend about what she can do, how she has coped with this ability, how it made her feel at start and how she feels now etc.
If you talk with her about everything she has been through then you might be able to wrap your head around abit more. Atleast you'll know your friend better and Im sure she will feel good at been able to talk about that side of things with somebody. Then if you dont want to be told things or know stuff, you can let her know.

she made a few comments about seeing a little boy standing next to me at our old house, which is where i was pregnant and she was coming to see us as our doula (she didnt tell me at the time). that freaked me out cause DD1 always hated being alone in that house, wouldnt sleep in her room, go down the other end of the house, told me there were monsters etc, moved house and she is now fine. i guess kids are more open to seeing stuff.
Then she made me cry becuase she told me she was knew she was ment to be bringing someone (a spirit) to our birth. she told me that some spirits need a persons life energy to move round (which i wondered if anyone else had heard this? i never have but that means nothing ) and she knew that she was bringing someone important to us to our birth with her. but she didnt know who.
Its funny, because she didnt make it to our birth, just a string of things, weird circumstances and choices by dh among other things meant we didnt ring her and she arrived just after dd2 had been born, i was holding her still delivering the placenta when she walked in. Its the exact same moment that DHs mum walking in during dd1s birth, she passed away 2 years ago, she wouldnt have missed the birth for quids and i guess her telling me what she did shock me abit because i miss my MIL so much and really want her to still be here for the girls!!

Interesting about the boy child. -They say, children pick up these things easier then adults because they havent been "taught" not to see them yet. Animals are also meant to be sensitive.
If I can throw in my 2cents- I wouldnt be keen on somebody bringing along something/body to my birthing if they didnt know who it was- interesting about your MIL though, and how the events transpired, made me smile.

Im not sure how to take- some spirits need life energy to move around. That would certainly make me wary. Its something that needs somebody far more experienced then me to comment on that.

Thats why i asked, i hoped someone could shed some light on the whole 'spirits needing a person to help them get around' bit. thats what made me skeptical, and with something so personal and special i wanted to be sure she wasnt just saying stuff cause she knew my personal situation.

I would be a bit peeved that she felt that it would be ok to bring someone into my space without my permission TBH. I can see people who have 'left' and can sense all sorts of things, and the only thing that would be annoying me was her bringing someone into my space without me knowing...but i am very particular about who is welcome at my births

that said, if someone that i trusted implicitly with their ability could of offered to bring my Oma to DD2s birth, then i would of let them! but i would of needed to trust that person's ability 100%, as it is quite a talent to be able to pin-point particular spirits over others (have found that spirits tend to jostle with eachother for attention lol).

FWIW, i am my friends 'house inspection' buddy . if you are buying a house, i am your girl to make sure that it is really vacant lol. had to pass on a house that we all loved...bar the freaky kid in the laundry hahaha.

it can freak some people out that some of us can see spirits. but i guess a part of that fear about it is that i think all of us intrinsicely know that there are energies that exist outside of our immediate parameters ITMS. so when there is someone that can tap into that, it can be, at times, confronting (as we are confronting a truth that is quite supressed)

just talked to dh about the whole thing cause its been messing with my head, and you know what, im cross. i just dont think she really has the ability to 'see' anything, i feel kinda insulted that she would talk about my beautiful late mother in law. any of the stuff she said was just stuff she could have put together from the things i have shared with her as a friend. it just doesnt feel right to me.

No, a "spirit" does not need anyone else to be able to move around. They are around us all the time. They would need someone who can communicate with them if they wanted to get a message to you but a spirit would never give you a message that would upset you or give it to you if you were not in the right frame of mind to accept it. So if you don't like what this lady is doing, then tell her. If she is using her abilities wisely and as she should she will not force it upon you, but respect your wishes.
