ohhh i know what you are talking about there lol! the black shadow thingy from Lost was *kinda* like the scary as hell thing that used to harass me for years on end...not so round and formed, but black shadowy/smoky like itms. totally uncool TBH.
my Oma passed away yesterday morning. and the last 2 weeks have been pretty full on as my Godmother (who passed away 13 years ago) kept visiting me (she has done this in the past a few times). i tried ignoring the 'presence' for awhile (didnt realise it was skadi) until she bucketed a toddler stool at me lol! but she kept me updated basically over the the last couple of weeks and tried to prepare me as much as possible. still, it didnt help with the real loss iykwim but darn it it felt good to know that Oma was ready and that she was going to be there to hold her hand. One thing that i dont understand is that the night before Oma died (so thursday) i had a man (silhouette only) standing guard at my front door. when i 'opened' the door (didnt physically, dont know how best to describe it...) he turned and i wasnt scared, he just gave this reassuring and knowledgable look. I'm not sure who he is or what he was doing there??!! but man oh man he was frikkin powerful! i am intrigued...does anyone know what or who this could be?
overall it was a very strange night (we had a massive gum tree fall on our bedroom roof and but by some miracle it didnt come crashing down on us...SES and the whole works took about 4 hours to clear it...it was a nasty fall across powerlines etc).

- so sorry your Oma has passed. What a blessing to have your godmother there helping you at this time. Maybe the man was standing there to make sure none of you went outside where the branch fell, or maybe he just gave it a bit of a push as it came down so it didn't hurt anyone?
) and my kids was a bit bizzare! I also know things and can send this information to my mum and sister. When my sisters dog died she was in europe and we had decided not to tell her that her dog died until she got back but she call that evening and asked what had happened to her dog. Also I remember sitting in my room and thinking 'I really need a desk fan, I need to tell mum' and mum came home about an hour later and gave me a desk fan saying 'I thought you might need one'
