I went to the GP yesterday to get my IUD removed. After much poking and prodding she couldn't find the stringsI was referred for an ultrasound but they couldn't get me in for another 7 days!! I was quite stressed about it as I have been experiencing quite bad pain/cramping and bleeding so I went and sat in the ER for 7 hours...eventually got my my ultrasound (they also did an internal ultrasound). They seem to think the IUD is still where it should be
but that the gyno may have cut the string too short.
I have an appointment with the gyno on 23rd Feb (earliest I could get in) Do you think he will be able to get it out? He's only working out of the medical centre) or what if he can't? What will happen??
I am really worried about this!
